Funding

We’re establishing the Rational Parliament thanks to a £1,000 grant from the Good Thinking Society and a lot of people giving their time for free. This money won’t last, so we’re weighing up other options to keep the debates flowing. These might include:

• Fixed-price ticketing—this is entertainment, after all

• Pay-what-you-can tickets or a progressive tax—every parliament must be funded by those to whom it is accountable

• Donations

• Sponsorship

• Grants from trusts or foundations

• Crowd-sourcing funds for each debate using Kickstarter

• Asking an MP to come and claim the whole thing on expenses
